The Dodge vehicle company was started by brothers Horace and John Dodge. As with many car manufacturers it started by making cycles and progressed to cars and trucks. Although the Dodge brothers died in 1920 the business continued and was ultimately purchased by Chrysler in 1928. Dodge came to Britain in 1922 initially building trucks, the UK operation used the same factory as Chrysler and was known as Dodge Kew
